Do I have to pay to join iLEIO?
No. There are no joining or maintenance at iLEIO.

Where are my ebooks keept?
The ebooks are housed in two data centres 'clouds': one located in Ireland and the other in the Netherlands.

Do I need to install software to read my ebooks?
In principle no. Your ebooks can be read on an internet browser. However – and as a reading option - we are in the final testing phase of an APP for the Android system and one for the IOS (Apple equipment). As soon as it becomes available we will inform all users iLEIO. The APP will be free of charge.

Can I move ebooks between iLEIO accounts?
Moving ebooks from one iLEIO account to another is prohibited.

Can I move ebooks out of iLEIO?
No. The movement of ebooks out of iLEIO platform is prohibited.

If the library of my school / university is not in iLEIO´s network what should I do?
You have two options: (1) speaks directly to your librarian or (2) send mail to [email protected] and we got in touch with the library / librarian.

Can I put ebooks that have already pruchased in my library iLEIO?
Yes you can. On the site you have a tool to upload ebooks.

All ebooks that you buy can be placed in iLEIO?
The decision / permissions to place ebooks on iLEIO is a decision that has to be taken exclusively by the Publisher. Please make sure that the Publisher allows it before purchasing.

Ebooks in libraries and bookstores in iLEIO`s network can be added to my library at iLEIO?
Yes. Libraries and bookstores in iLEIO´s network have given permission for the ebooks to be stored and read at iLEIO . Once you buy or rent an ebook in iLEIO´s network it is placed automatically in your library.

How do I remove an ebook from offline Reading?
Click on 'Set offline reading' and then unmark the 'Available offline option'. Please logout and login again for the changes to be applied.

How do I reinstall an ebook that has been removed from the library?
Depends on how the ebook was placed in you library:

If the ebook was purchased in any of the online ebook sellers recommended by iLEIO you can reinstall it by selecting the tab “Removed” available in your digital library after login has been made
If , on the other hand , the ebook uploaded by you the responsibility of reinstalling is yours

How do I read my ebooks without being connected to the internet (offline)?
You must select the ebook you are going to read offline while you are online . Please proceed as follows:

While online please click the 'Set offline Reading' for the ebook you want to read offline;
Select “Available Offline” in the box provided for that purpose;
The iLEIO automatically starts the synchronization process;

If a message may appear at the bottom of the screen asking for permission to store iLEIO content ,please confirm the authorization

Once the synchronization process is complete, the ebooks is ready for offline reading.
When you want to read offline please type the address http://www.ileio.com on the same browser and computer used in the synchronization process. Your personal library page will open and the ebook will be available for reading

Important Note:
The offline reading must necessarily be made:

On the same computer / tablet / phone etc. used to indicate that she wanted to have ebooks for offline reading;
On the same browser that you used in the synchronization process;

How do I remove an ebooks from the offline reading?

While online please click the “Make available offline” for the ebook you want to remove from offline reading
Remove the check from the box “Available Offline”

What precautions shall I take for reading offline?
If you plan to read ebooks on devices with limited resources (old tablets, mobile phones etc.) do not place to many ebooks at once. The reading system and other functionalities of the device may start operating very slowly. It is preferable to go have an ebook at a time.

The performance depends on the browser I am I using?
Yes. Browsers:

are the ones that offer better offline reading performance.

How long do ebooks stay available for offline reading?
Depends on the Publisher. Normally the ebook is available for 3 days after which it will not be available for offline reading.
But , after that period , you can always reselect if for online reading.

When does iLEIO not allow online reading ebooks in PDF format?
Access to, and reading of ,ebooks in PDF format is always permitted regardless of the resolution or the type of device used (PC, Android, iPhone, tablet, Apple etc ...)

For offline reading of PDFs, are there limitations imposed by iLEIO?
Yes. When an ebook, in PDF format, is selected for offline reading iLEIO we do some background checking before allowing it. This restriction, in reading offline, PDFs is enforced - not by the iLEIO difficulties in performing the function - but because the device may not have sufficient resources to make offline reading the ebook a practicable or enjoyable experience. The two , most relevant, background checks we carry out before offline reading is allowed are:

Resolution: the equipment has to have a resolution equal to or greater than 10.5 inches;
Operating System: In case of an Android device version must be greater than or equal to version 3.0;

Can I upload an unlimited number of ebooks to my library iLEIO?
Before answering is necessary to specify that the limit is applicable only to uploaded ebooks.
Uploaded ebooks are those that you uploaded from your computer to iLEIO ebooks and not ebooks bought or ebooks on loan for which there are no limits
For ebooks upload the limit is 500 Mb

Are there limitations on functionalities of iLEIO ,when I am reading offline?
In offline reading there are features that are disabled when compared to online reading. The disabled features, described below, are not available offline due to the fact that they require access to their your personal library at iLEIO which by definition is not accessible when you are offline
The features, that are disabled on offline reading are:

Creation of new bookmarks;
Search the text of ebook;
Select ebook for reading on / offline;
Remove ebooks from the library;
